At RHS, we believe that a home is more than four walls—it’s about community, connection, and choice. Our mission goes beyond housing to create vibrant neighborhoods where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) can live independently while being surrounded by a supportive and inclusive community.
For families navigating the journey of securing long-term, fulfilling lives for loved ones with I/DD, waiting for solutions isn’t an option. Success comes from being proactive—educating yourself, planning ahead, and collaborating with others who share the same vision. That’s why RHS is dedicated to equipping families with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions through our Family Training Program.
The RHS Family Training Program
When families choose an RHS neighborhood as a forever home for their loved one, they become part of a larger community working toward a common goal. Our Family Training Program helps ensure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to our vision, values, and approach. Through this program, families gain:
✅ A strong support network by collaborating with other families
✅ Tools for effective communication with caregivers and community members
✅ Guidance to help their loved one transition smoothly into independent living
✅ Ongoing education and enrichment to ensure continuous learning and growth
Celebrating Our Community
To our current RHS families—thank you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to making this vision a reality. Your efforts are creating real change, and we’re grateful to be on this journey with you. Keep up the great work!

Be Part of the Movement
We’re not just building houses—we’re building futures. And we can’t do it alone. Whether you’re a family member, advocate, or community leader, your involvement is key to making this vision a reality.
